We will shortly have information on classes for adults and children.  Tutors with a class to offer should feel free to contact us with details of their area of expertise and experience.  We are open to offering any class if there is an interest.  We would love to hear from teachers of Salsa, Hip Hop and Belly Dance, teachers of traditional crafts such as Sewing/Knitting and Quilting and teachers of Drawing and Creative Writing!

Shaylyn believe Irish Dance and Music should be accessible to all ages and practised by all ages. It’s never too late to start!

So many people say they would love to play a musical instrument or to dance well the centre gives people that chance! Adult classes at the centre are informal, relaxed and fun and can be taken at your own pace. You could be a total beginner or someone who danced/played perhaps for years as a child or teen and would now like to get back to it after years of absence.

Classes on offer vary from time to time and include Irish Dance, Set Dance and Sean Nos Dance, Tin whistle & flute, fiddle, bodhran, banjo, bouzouki, traditional guitar and accordion. Why not call the centre for information on classes currently on offer. Also if you are interested in a class not currently on offer please let us know – if we get enough interest we can provide it!

Drama for Children - Starts Monday 15th Sept - €65 for 6 weeks - Ages 4-7 3:15pm - 4:05pm & Ages 8 - 13 4:05pm - 4:55pm

Beginners Fiddle for Children age 7+ - Starts Tuesday 16th Sept@4pm - €60 for 6 weeks

Pilates & Yoga - Starts Thurs 25th Sept - 6pm-7pm=Pilates, 7pm-8pm=Pilates, 8pm-9pm=Yoga €65 for 6 weeks(For pilates you will have to fill in a Health Screening Form)

Sean Nos Dancing - Starts Wed 1st Oct - Children from 7pm-8pm, Adults from 8pm-9pm - €65 for 6wks

Tracey O’Neill School of Dance - Dance Classes - Starts Monday 15th Sept - Beginners 6pm-7pm, Advanced 7pm-8pm

Guitar Classes - Starts Tues 30th Sept - Beginners 7:30-8:30, Advanced - 8:30-9:30 - €100 for 8wks

Fiddle - There is a limited number of fiddles available from the tutor, which will be dispensed on a first come first served basis so please request this when booking

Special Notes -

Yoga & Pilates - You will need an exercise mat for both these classes and for the pilates you will need to have filled in a Health Screening Form which is available from the Shaylyn Centre and must be returned to the Tutor on or before the first night

If there is any classes you are interested in taking that we are not currently offering, please get in touch with us to record your interest and we will endeavour to provide it. Currently we are working to get a class in Digital Photography and in Hip Hop, as soon as these are finalised they will be added to the above list.
